UNLOCKING POTENTIAL ON THE GRIDIRON

Football is the ultimate team sport. John Abbott College had a talented core entering the season, but a few missed plays and injuries had them start 0-4. Unfazed, the coaches and players looked to Piiva to push them to reach a new level of play for the rest of the season.

Piiva started with the team on a three-week program. Players took on the exercises with enthusiasm and pushed each other to do more than the minimum requirements. The awareness techniques had a strong impact on team chemistry, and their play execution started to improve—both offensively and defensively—ultimately turning their season around.

In addition to elevating focus and player development, mental mistakes, such as penalties and missed assignments, decreased. Piiva also provided an extra session on sleeping techniques to assist players with being properly rested throughout the season.
